Love Quote

How true is this quote? I can related to this 120%.

“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.” - Neil Gaiman

Lifetime Movies

I have to admit, I can be a sucker for some of Lifetime movies. Granted, there is some real crappy ones but there also some really good ones too. I was watching one today and I saw ad for two new movies best on two of Ann Rule's books. Ann Rule writes true crime book. I am a huge fan of her book. I have read quite a few of them. Any who, there going to two miniseries based off the two books, Too Late To Say Good Bye and Everything She Ever Wanted.

Here the write up for the movies:
Everything She Ever Wanted
  • Made: 2009
  • Genre: True Crime Drama
  • Stars: Gina Gershon, Victor Garber, Rachel Blanchard
From bestselling author Ann Rule comes a tale of obsessive love, greed, and murder. For their wedding portrait, Pat and Tom Allanson posed as Rhett and Scarlett as an homage to their Southern roots and dreams for a Tara-like plantation where they can rise through the hierarchy of the South Carolina elite. Less than two months later, their dream exploded in terror and murder: when Tom was convicted of the gruesome slaying of his parents. Pat's own brother died in a puzzling suicide, her grandparents-in-law were poisoned, and no one-- from her employers to her own children-- was safe when Pat Allanson didn't get her way. Inspired by a True Story.

Part One premieres Nov. 14 and Part Two premieres Nov. 15 at 8 pm et/9 pm pt.

Too Late To Say Goodbye
  • Made: 2009
  • Genre: True Crime Drama
  • Stars: Rob Lowe, Lauren Holly
The story of Jenn and Bart Corbin(Lowe); a couple who appear to have the perfect marriage. Wedded bliss, though, is not always what it seems, as Jenn discovers Bart’s affair with a beautiful co-worker. Distraught, Jenn turns to the Internet, where she makes a connection with a charming mystery man. When Jenn is found dead – apparently the result of a devastating suicide – her loving sister insists that Jenn would never have willingly taken her own life and left her children without their mother. Could the killer be her husband, who has some dark secrets of his own, or possibly her online suitor, who may not be exactly the person Jenn had imagined?

Premieres November 7 at 9 pm et/pt on LMN.

Out of the two books, I liked Everything more than Too Late to say Goodbye. I am curious how loyal the movies will be to the case. I own both the book and the movie to And Never Let Her Go. The movie is loyal to the case to a point. The biggest problem with the movie is that the lead actress was so miscast. The actress in the movie had a short blonde pixie cut while her real life counter part was a long brunette with curly hair. That was big problem with the movie.

That is sad that I am excited about two Lifetime movies.

Birthday Post

First off, Thank you so much to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday. It really meant a lot to me. It was a pretty easy going day. The highlights where getting my car back from the auto shop and hanging out with Lica. I don't get my gift from my brother until tomorrow. I will receive my parents gift next week.
Here the Birthday Cake (My Dad's birthday is on Friday):
On the School front: I passed my test from Saturday with a perfect score 160/150 (10 bonus points)

TV: Ok, Southpark was so funny tonight. Butter becomes a pimp. I really want some sound bytes of Pimp Butters for my phone. That was so funny.

I have an idea for a poll. I have a sock monkey with no name. Havn't named it at all. Here the deal. I will let everyone vote on a name for him. Please put any ideas in the comment area, then after a few days, I set a poll up with the sugguestions.

Queen Videos

Since it getting close to my birthday, I decided post one of my all time favorite Queen songs. I am a die hard Queen fan. Did you know that there is a huge gathering of Queen fans every year. It is called Breakthru. That sound so much fun for me. lol
Here is the my favorite video:

It is a lesser known Queen song. It was a minor hit for them in the UK. I just love that song. This video shows Freddie's showman ship. I love Brian May's guitar solo too.

On an odd musical note, I feel so bad but I like Britney Spears' new song 3. Extremely catchy. If you hear the lyrics, It what you think its about. It pretty straight forward.

Back to home work. Been running MSN when I been working on my homework. My MSN email is lady.persephone@hotmail.com .

Off to working on homework and listening to Tool Academy 2.

School, School, School

I should have written :Homework,Homework, and more homework.

I am half way done with all my homework for the upcoming week. Took my test this morning. I think I did good. Right now, I am trying to find two tort court cases to do a court brief on. The first one I picked was the infamous McDonald's coffee case. I havn't picked a second one yet. I found one, Tarasoff v. Regents of the University of California, but the case brief is about 38 pages long. Depends on if I want to sort though all that. My paper is not due until the end of November but I might want to get a head start.

Any ideas for a good tort law case?

Random Thoughts 10/9 edition

* I finally gave in and started to play Farmville on Facebook. Here is my ghetto farm right now:

It pretty neat so far. Slowly growing my crops.

* Tomorrow, I have my first test of the semester. It is for Interviewing and Investigation. Kinda nervous. Wish me luck. Other than my test. Probably work on homework this weekend. Would love to go see a movie this weekend. Anyone game?

*SGU was ok. Watched all three hours. It seems like they are trying to be a poor man's version of BSG.

Under a week

Hard to believe but my birthday is coming up in under a week. It seems like this year has gone by so quick. I don't have any plans at all. Probably sit at home like normal. I sorta hope somebody remembers this year. No one remember last year at all. I would love to something for my birthday. It been years since I have done anything special for my birthday. It would mean so much to do something.

For the rest of the week, I have no plans. Just work on homework.

Anyone watch South Park?

I love the mid season premiere. Any episode that ties in dead celebrities + Ghost Hunters + Toddlers and Tiara = Win. Even the Chipotlaway subplot was funny. I knew they had to make fun of Michael Jackson. It was a given. I like the "how many dead celebrities can you name on the plane". I totally want some gifs from this episode. Granted, I want the Kayne West's Fish Fu**er song though for my phone.

Other than South Park, I am going to try to watch SGU. I heard it is OK but since I am a huge Stargate Whore, I am in.

Day Two - Concert w/ Pictures

I know it is really day three but this is going to count for day two. I havnt really been by my laptop much on Thursday to type. Most of the day was spend exploring around the neiborhood of Chicago. We didnt really want to drive, so we walked around everywhere. We found quite a few record stores. Found a used cd/dvd store that had some neat stuff. Found some really cool books. I found a book about Freddie Mercurys life and a book about famous crimes.

Now to the concert:

People where lining up outside since four. It was raining and cold. I thought I could walk there and turns out, I didnt know where it was. By the time I got there, I was wet and cold. We started to talk to people in the line. I met a girl from Asia and a guy from London. We where able to get in the Metro around six thirty. It was first come, first serve with standing. Luckly for use, we got a spot right in front of the stage. We only had some people in front of us but we where extermly close to the stage. The opening act, Bear Hands was really good. Got the crowd moving. After their set was done, It was time for the main show.

Manic Street Preachers was awsome live. It was cool to see how the crowd got into them. I really enjoyed the show alot. Took tons of pictures and video. After the show, Two of the band member stood outside and signed autographs. My brother got all three member to sign his cd. I was able to meet two of them. I got them to sign my concert ticket and have my picture with them. It was pretty fun.

Tommorrow, we are heading about to home. Our plan is to leave after ten AM. Hopefully we will return home before six PM. I plan on uploading all the photos later on that night.

Wish me luck driving home tommorrow.
